Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, the Nurse Recruitment Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, operation and evaluation of our Nurse Recruitment program. Penn State Hershey Medical Center has a staff of over 1,900 Registered Nurses. Each year, we hire over 500 experienced nurses, advance practice nurses, graduate nurses and nurse externs.

Our successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Recruitment, Director of Nursing Operations, Nurse Executive Council, hiring managers and human resources staff in the development and implementation of our recruitment/retention programs.
Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising our nurse recruitment/retention team.
  • Developing programs to attract high quality nursing candidates and overseeing recruitment/retention workflows.
  • Managing applicant-tracking system processes from initial position request through employee orientation.
  • Ensuring that recruitment processes and records management are in compliance with EEO guidelines and policies.
Our requirements include:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of nursing management experience
  • PA RN licensure or eligibility
